Compensation for Our Services
We offer two plans to pay us for our services. One plan is payment on an hourly basis. The other is payment as a yearly retainer for comprehensive planning services. As described on the 'Services' page, certain questions can be resolved on an hourly basis. For example, a question like 'How much must I save to send my child to college' can be answered on an hourly basis. A question like 'Can you help me sleep at night knowing that I am working on a well-formulated plan to provide the financial means for me and my loved ones to enjoy life and pass that on to future generations' cannot be answered on an hourly basis, and requires an on-going, comprehensive planning relationship.
Our hourly fee ranges from $150 - $200. At our first meeting, when we mutually agree upon the scope of what you want us to do, we will quote you the hourly rate and provide an estimate of the total cost.

Our comprehensive planning services require the generation of a comprehensive financial plan based upon your current financial state of affairs, and a thorough description of your goals and aspirations. This plan becomes the basis for our future efforts. The cost for the generation of this plan depends upon the size of your asset base and your yearly income. The plan cost will fall into one of the following ranges:
Note that these are simply guidelines. After the initial meeting where we discuss the scope of our working relationship, we can provide to you a more precise estimate of costs.
Once the comprehensive plan is understood and agreed upon, the implementation and monitoring phase of our relationship begins. This is the long-term relationship that is so vital to achieving the goals and aspirations described in the plan. The minimum quarterly fee for this process is $300. The fee is charged based upon the services that are to be performed, with a minimum charged based upon the managed assets. The scale is as follows:
In certain instances, depending upon the client's needs and the services to be rendered, an agreement between the client and us may be entered into with a fee different from the fee structure described above. The fee would be based upon negotiations with that specific client.
In addition to the fees charged by us for services, clients also incur 'management fees' on the inside of mutual funds. These fees vary by mutual fund, and are not in any way paid to or credited to Financial Pathfinders. We are a fee-only advisory firm, and we accept no commissions, referral fees, or marketing fees from any vendors.
